Best brunch & breakfast spots in Tokyo

Tokyo has a dense mix of coffee chains, café-restaurants and Italian kitchens, and several of them open early enough for a morning meal. The eight places below are a mix of the two: most are coffee shops that open at 07:00, with one Italian restaurant and one café that opens later for lunch and dinner.

Many of the entries cluster in the Shinjuku and Shinjuku-adjacent postcodes (169-0075 and 151-0053), and a few sit in the Shibuya and Nishi-Waseda area. Opening hours vary by branch, so check before you go, especially on Sundays.

1. タリーズコーヒー 早大理工店

Practical notes

Most of these places open at 07:00, so they suit an early breakfast. Only FLATTORIA and Cafe CottonClub open later in the day, and they are better for a late brunch. Check each website for changes to hours, and call ahead if you need step-free access, since the listed wheelchair status differs between branches.
