Specialty coffee & roasters in Tokyo

Tokyo's coffee scene covers a wide range, from chain cafés on busy avenues to older kissaten-style rooms in the centre of town. The eight places below are all coffee shops, and they are spread across several districts: Waseda in Shinjuku, the Shinjuku and Ginza areas, and Ginza itself.

Most of these entries are chains or cafés with long opening hours, so they suit a quick stop as much as a longer sit. The notes below give the details that were checked for each one, including which are step-free.

タリーズコーヒー 早大理工店

Practical notes

Several of these are open from early morning until 22:00 or 23:00, so they work for a late coffee as well as a morning start.
